Wrong Turn Gone Horribly Wrong

The rain started just after sunset.

Four friends were driving through a lonely highway surrounded by thick forest. The road was old, cracked, and almost empty. No streetlights. No houses. Only darkness and trees moving in the cold wind.

Inside the car, music played softly.

Arjun sat in the driver’s seat. He was twenty-four, serious, and careful. Beside him sat his girlfriend, Kavya, wrapped in a hoodie while looking outside the window.

Wrong Turn

In the back seat were Sameer and Priya.

Sameer was loud and funny. He kept making jokes even when nobody laughed. Priya was quiet. She spent most of the trip staring at her phone, but there was no signal for hours.

“This road feels cursed,” Sameer said while looking outside.

Kavya smiled weakly. “Stop talking nonsense.”

“I’m serious,” Sameer continued. “Look around. This is exactly how horror movies start.”

“Then be quiet,” Arjun replied. “I’m trying to focus.”

Rain hit the windshield harder.

The GPS suddenly lost signal.

“No network,” Priya whispered.

Arjun sighed. “Great.”

The road split into two paths ahead.

One road was wide and clean.

Wrong Turn The other was smaller, muddy, and covered with hanging tree branches.

The GPS screen blinked once and showed a strange message.

SHORTCUT AVAILABLE.

Sameer laughed. “Shortcut! Take it.”

“I don’t trust this,” Kavya said immediately.

But Arjun looked tired. They had already been driving for six hours.

“If this saves time, we should use it.”

The car slowly turned onto the smaller road.

That was the moment everything changed.

The forest became thicker.

The rain became heavier.

After twenty minutes, the road looked abandoned. Tall trees blocked most of the moonlight. Strange fog moved between the woods like ghosts.

“No other cars,” Priya said nervously.

Sameer tried joking again. “Maybe we entered another world.”

Nobody laughed this time.

Then suddenly—

THUD.

Wrong Turn

The car shook violently.

“What was that?” Kavya screamed.

Arjun stopped the car.

Everyone became silent.

The headlights showed something lying on the road ahead.

It looked like an animal.

Or maybe a person.

Rain covered everything.

“Stay inside,” Arjun said.

But Sameer already opened the door.

“Idiot!” Priya shouted.

Cold wind entered the car.

Sameer walked slowly toward the dark shape on the road. His flashlight from the phone barely worked.

“What is it?” Kavya asked loudly.

Sameer bent down.

Then froze.

His face changed completely.

“Oh God…”

Before he could finish speaking, something moved inside the trees.

Fast.

Too fast.

Branches cracked violently.

Sameer looked terrified.

“GET BACK IN THE CAR!”

He ran.

Something huge chased him from the darkness.

The creature moved on all fours like an animal, but its body looked human.

Its skin was pale gray.

Its arms were too long.

And its eyes reflected white in the headlights.

Sameer jumped into the car.

Arjun locked the doors instantly.

The creature slammed against the side of the vehicle.

Everyone screamed.

The car shook violently.

“What the hell is that?!” Priya cried.

Arjun pressed the accelerator hard.

The tires slipped in mud before finally moving.

The creature disappeared back into the forest.

But for the next several minutes, nobody spoke.

Only heavy breathing filled the car.

Finally Kavya whispered, “We need to leave this place now.”

“I agree,” Arjun said.

But after another ten minutes, they realized something horrible.

The road kept repeating.

Same broken sign.

Same fallen tree.

Same curve.

“We passed this already,” Priya whispered.

“No,” Arjun said quickly.

But deep down, he knew she was right.

They were going in circles.

The rain stopped near midnight.

Fog covered the road completely now.

The fuel tank was almost empty.

Then they saw lights in the distance.

A building.

An old motel.

The sign outside flickered weakly.

BLACK WOOD MOTEL

One room light was on.

“That place looks dead,” Kavya said.

“We don’t have a choice,” Arjun replied.

The motel stood alone in the middle of the forest.

No other buildings nearby.

No cars.

No sound.

Only wind.

The group stepped out carefully.

The cold air smelled rotten.

Like wet wood and dead animals.

Inside the motel office sat an old man with white hair and cloudy eyes.

He stared at them silently.

“We need a room,” Arjun said.

The old man continued staring.

Then slowly spoke.

“You should not be here.”

Sameer forced a laugh. “Trust me, we don’t want to be here either.”

The old man ignored him.

“You took the forest road.”

Nobody answered.

The old man’s face became pale.

“How far did you go?”

“About forty minutes,” Arjun replied.

The old man looked genuinely afraid.

“You must leave before sunrise.”

Priya frowned. “What are you talking about?”

The old man leaned closer.

“They hunt at night.”

Silence filled the room.

Sameer whispered, “This guy is insane.”

But the fear in the old man’s eyes felt real.

Very real.

“You saw one already, didn’t you?” the old man asked softly.

Nobody answered.

That silence was enough.

The old man handed them a room key.

“Lock every door.”

Their motel room smelled old and dusty.

Two weak yellow lights flickered overhead.

Rainwater dripped somewhere inside the walls.

Kavya hugged herself tightly.

“I hate this place.”

Sameer tried checking his phone again.

“No signal still.”

Priya looked through the curtains.

The forest surrounded the motel from every side.

Then she noticed something.

Footprints.

Large footprints in the mud outside.

Not human.

Too long.

Too deep.

“Guys…” she whispered.

Everyone rushed to the window.

The footprints circled the motel.

Like something had been watching.

Suddenly the lights went out.

Darkness swallowed the room instantly.

Priya screamed.

“Calm down!” Arjun shouted.

A few seconds later, emergency lights turned on outside.

Red light filled the room.

Everything looked bloody.

Then came the sound.

SCRATCH.

Something dragged across the outside wall slowly.

SCRATCH.

SCRATCH.

Kavya covered her mouth.

Sameer stepped backward.

The scratching moved toward the window.

Then stopped.

Silence.

Nobody breathed.

A pale face slowly appeared outside the glass.

Huge white eyes.

No nose.

A mouth stretched too wide.

Priya screamed loudly.

The creature slammed against the window.

Glass cracked instantly.

Arjun grabbed a chair and pushed everyone back.

The creature scratched wildly at the glass.

Then suddenly—

A gunshot exploded outside.

The creature disappeared instantly into darkness.

The old motel owner stood outside holding a rifle.

“Stay inside!” he shouted.

Then he looked toward the forest with fear.

Because something else was moving out there.

Many things.

Branches snapped everywhere.

Heavy footsteps surrounded the motel.

Not one creature.

A whole group.

The old man rushed into their room.

“We don’t have much time.”

“What are those things?” Kavya cried.

The old man locked the door.

“They were human once.”

Nobody spoke.

“Years ago,” he continued, “people disappeared in these woods. Travelers. Hikers. Hunters. Nobody knew why.”

His hands shook badly.

“Then they found caves under the forest. Something lived there long before us.”

Sameer looked terrified now.

“What happened to the people?”

The old man swallowed hard.

“They changed.”

A loud scream echoed outside.

Not human.

Not animal.

Something worse.

The old man loaded more bullets into the rifle.

“They come every winter.”

“How do we stop them?” Arjun asked.

“You don’t.”

Another loud bang hit the motel wall.

Dust fell from the ceiling.

The creatures were surrounding them.

“We leave now,” the old man said.

“There’s another road behind the forest.”

“And you know this because?” Sameer asked.

The old man looked down.

“Because my son became one of them.”

Silence.

Then another crash came from outside.

The window finally shattered.

Everyone screamed.

A long gray arm reached inside.

Arjun smashed it with the chair.

The creature screamed horribly.

The sound almost didn’t feel alive.

“MOVE!” the old man shouted.

They ran from the room into heavy fog.

The motel lights flickered behind them.

Shapes moved between the trees.

Watching.

Following.

Hunting.

The group followed the old man through the forest.

Mud covered their shoes.

Branches cut their skin.

The fog became thicker every minute.

“Keep moving,” the old man whispered.

Behind them came distant growls.

The creatures were still following.

Priya struggled to breathe. “I can’t run anymore.”

“You must,” Arjun said.

Then Sameer suddenly stopped.

“What’s wrong?” Kavya asked.

Sameer pointed ahead.

Someone stood between the trees.

A child.

A little boy wearing dirty clothes.

He stared silently.

The old man’s face lost all color.

“No…”

The boy slowly smiled.

Too wide.

Too unnatural.

Then his jaw opened far beyond human limits.

Sameer screamed.

The child creature rushed toward them.

The old man fired instantly.

The creature collapsed.

But suddenly dozens of white eyes appeared in the darkness around them.

They were everywhere.

“RUN!” the old man yelled.

The forest exploded with screams.

Creatures charged from every direction.

Arjun grabbed Kavya’s hand and ran.

Sameer pulled Priya forward.

The old man stayed behind shooting wildly.

Gunshots echoed through the forest.

Then suddenly stopped.

A horrible scream followed.

The old man never returned.

The remaining four ran blindly through the woods.

Trees rushed past them.

Cold air burned their lungs.

Behind them came fast footsteps.

Too close.

Too fast.

Sameer looked behind once.

Big mistake.

A creature jumped from the darkness and tackled him violently.

He crashed into the mud screaming.

“HELP ME!”

Arjun turned immediately.

But the creature dragged Sameer toward the trees.

Sameer clawed the ground desperately.

Priya cried uncontrollably.

Arjun grabbed a broken branch and charged forward.

The creature looked at him.

Its face looked almost human now.

And Arjun realized something horrifying.

It was smiling.

Then more creatures appeared behind it.

At least ten.

Arjun froze.

Sameer’s screams became weaker.

Then suddenly stopped.

Silence.

Only chewing sounds remained.

Priya collapsed crying.

Kavya pulled her up.

“We have to go!”

Arjun stood frozen in shock.

His best friend was gone.

Just like that.

No goodbye.

No chance.

Only darkness.

And monsters.

Hours passed.

The forest never ended.

The moon disappeared behind clouds.

Priya became weaker with every step.

Then they found a cabin.

Old.

Broken.

But still standing.

Arjun pushed the door open carefully.

Nobody inside.

The cabin smelled rotten but dry.

They locked the door instantly.

Kavya hugged Arjun tightly.

“We’re going to die here.”

“No,” Arjun whispered.

But he no longer believed it.

Priya sat silently in the corner shaking badly.

Then she suddenly spoke.

“They were once people.”

Nobody answered.

“What if they infect us?”

Kavya looked horrified.

“Stop.”

But Priya continued.

“What if Sameer becomes one of them?”

Silence filled the cabin.

Then came footsteps outside.

Slow.

Dragging.

Something circled the cabin.

A voice whispered from outside.

“Help…”

Priya’s eyes widened.

“That sounds like Sameer.”

Kavya started crying instantly.

“No…”

Again the voice came.

“Please help me…”

Arjun slowly approached the window.

Outside stood Sameer.

Or something wearing Sameer’s face.

His body bent strangely.

His smile stretched too wide.

His eyes were completely white.

Blood covered his clothes.

“Let me in,” he whispered.

Priya screamed.

The thing outside slammed against the door violently.

Wood cracked instantly.

Then many more footsteps surrounded the cabin.

They found them again.

The creatures attacked together.

Windows shattered.

Walls shook violently.

Arjun pushed furniture against the door.

Kavya grabbed a knife from the kitchen.

Priya cried uncontrollably.

“WE’RE TRAPPED!”

The creatures screamed outside.

Their sounds felt almost human now.

Like suffering souls.

Then suddenly—

Fire.

One side of the cabin exploded into flames.

The creatures hated it.

They backed away screaming.

Arjun realized an old lantern had fallen.

The fire spread quickly across the wooden walls.

“We have to leave now!”

Smoke filled the cabin instantly.

They kicked open the back door and escaped into the freezing night.

The burning cabin lit the forest behind them.

And for the first time, Arjun clearly saw the creatures.

Dozens of them.

Tall.

Thin.

Twisted.

Human faces stretched unnaturally.

Some looked old.

Some looked young.

One looked exactly like Sameer.

All staring silently.

Then they began chasing again.

The final road appeared near dawn.

A real road.

Wide enough for cars.

Arjun almost cried with relief.

“We made it,” Kavya whispered weakly.

But Priya suddenly stopped moving.

Blood covered her leg.

A deep bite mark.

Kavya looked horrified.

“When did this happen?”

Priya looked terrified.

“In the cabin…”

Arjun remembered her scream earlier.

One of them had bitten her.

Priya started shaking violently.

“No… no no no…”

Her veins slowly darkened under her skin.

Kavya stepped backward.

Arjun stared helplessly.

Priya began crying.

“I don’t want to become one.”

“You won’t,” Arjun lied.

But they both knew.

Priya suddenly grabbed Arjun’s arm tightly.

“Please.”

He understood immediately.

“No…”

“Please,” she begged through tears.

Kavya started crying harder.

Priya handed Arjun the knife.

“I don’t want to hurt you.”

Arjun’s hands shook badly.

“I can’t.”

Priya smiled sadly.

“You have to.”

The sounds of creatures echoed from the forest again.

Closer.

Priya closed her eyes.

Arjun cried openly.

Then finally—

He did what he had to do.

The sun slowly rose.

The forest became quiet.

Too quiet.

Arjun and Kavya walked down the empty road together.

Broken.

Covered in blood.

Traumatized forever.

Hours later, a truck driver found them near the highway.

Police searched the forest for days.

They found nothing.

No motel.

No cabin.

No bodies.

Nothing.

Authorities believed Arjun and Kavya suffered from shock and hallucinations.

Nobody believed their story.

Months passed.

Kavya stopped speaking much.

Arjun barely slept.

Every night he heard screams in his dreams.

Every night he remembered Sameer’s face outside the cabin.

Then one evening, Arjun received a package at his apartment.

No sender name.

Inside was an old motel key.

Room 6.

Attached was a small note.

WRONG TURN AGAIN?

Arjun’s blood turned cold.

Because beneath the note was a photograph.

Taken recently.

It showed him sleeping through his bedroom window.

And standing behind him in the darkness—

Was Sameer.

Smiling.

With white eyes.
